Studio Notes + Collaborations
We’ve made it to late-September somehow?!! This has been one of the busiest summers in recent history. I have been stacked. And I’m grateful for it.
Between work-from-home creative-mom life with a 5-year-old on summer break, wife life, housework, the Solstice Dinner, meetings, and countless custom projects, I honestly don’t know how I’m still standing and not feeling like my life is completely in shambles or stressed.
I used to suffer from severe burnout and snap at the smallest things because I had no bandwidth left to give. Progress. I’m trying to be more aware and mindful. I took breaks here and there. I read. I swam. I tried to be present with my family and friends and spent less time on my phone and socials.

The reality is, not everything can have my attention, and MUNDO has been a bit quieter than I had hoped these Summer months. I try to give myself grace in that. Some months I’ll update up to 6 times, while other times, maybe 1–2. Thank you for being patient with me and for supporting and believing in what I do.
All that is to say, I had considered doing a Substack a few years ago, before MUNDO came to be, and I’m glad I thought about it for years. Yes, more people use Substack or Patreon these days, but there’s something so special about having my own little world in here, tucked away for those who are here.
To me, it feels like treasure finding, where one door opens to another, then another, and it evolves and expands.
Now that my kid is back in school (1st grade!!!), I have a little more time in my days — earlier rises and a few more hours to myself. I wanted to share a bit of my process in the studio and some of the fun experiments I’ve been working on, like some plates and lamps I’m very excited about, as well as a few collaborations in the works.
These upcoming seasons feel very potent with collaboration. I haven’t read up on my astrology or chart in a while, but I sometimes prefer to “let things be” and follow my intuition, then look back on what was happening in the stars. It makes me smile to see that the alignment and synchronicity was there all along...
